I think the problem is to do with the Ironsights ...
I have now changed the ironsights for one weapon and it looks much better ... but I need to do some more investigating ...
All this loading and waiting through the intro is driving me insane ...

Anyway ... I think I am getting there ... 8)

yeah ive been trying some things too but i was going down the wrong road because my problem was instigated by the running and not the ironsights. thx paddy :)

@ Mach1.9pants ...
Sorry bud you lost me with this line ...[quote]So that means VERT- game is actually unplayable by me, another game ruined (until Racer_S gets there anyway)

It is not vert- if you fix it as shown above and so no need for Racer ....

For your 24" ... use a bind fov value of about 108 and forget the rest as it is not needed if you are not doing TripleHead.
Thanks for that. What I meant was VERT- games are, for me, unplayable (they make me feel ill!) until some genius like yourself or Racer_S fixes it. I will give the 24" FOV fix a go, hopefully no nausea  And when my TH2G comes back from its sojourn to Hong Kong to be fixed I'll give the other hack a go
Keep up the good work
M1.9P

The switching back to the correct FOV after using ironsights seems for me to be fixed for all weapons apart from the colt ... without the need to sprint to reset the FOV ...
I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong with that colt ...
I'll look into it again tomorrow I need some sleep ...

Here are my configs ... I haven't included the the MOHASettings.ini as you may want to set your own resolution.

With these configs I only get 2 small problems ...
I have spent hours trying to solve them but no luck so far ...
As I say they are small problems ...

The first is when switching in Ironsights to the Colt ... the view gets a bit mixed up ... the way around this is to not switch to the Colt whilst in Ironsights ...

The second is after using a mounted weapon the FOV does not switch back to the correct FOV untill I run/sprint ... it is no big deal imho.

Give them a go ... let me know what you think ... MoHAConfig.rar

Make a backup of your own configs before you use these just incase these are no good for you !

[quote]mhm, I see there hardly a chance of good fps at SG with my 7900gx2.
:(

something like bioshock!

Yeah... I've got 7800GTX SLI and can't run Bioshock in SG with high settings which, IMHO, is mandatory for that game as it is so gorgeous.

I'm thinking of shelving it until November when, hopefully, the 9800's come out and I make the upgrade (I always skip a generation...).

I'll probably do the same for MOHA....

Which maximum resolution at bioshock did run smooth?

I am in the same position, deliberating if I should get now an 8800gtx or wait till the new release of the 9800 nvidia

To get playable frames, I'm playing at 1280x1024 with all options set to max.

Ranges between mid/high 20's at the worst (lots of action/water/etc.) to mid-60's in small rooms.

It is such a great looking game that I refuse to lower the graphic settings.

Assuming the 9800 series is a nice bump over the 8800's, I figure that since I'm now trying to play at 3840x1024 it is probably worth the wait....

Thanks Paddy. That helped a bit but I still have the lingering fov after running and ironsights. It is better though. EA and their non-supporting widescreen ways!@@#

Hi Paddy

I tried the settimgs you suggested and the game looks superb, the FOV is perfect in my opinion, the issues with Ironsights are mere glitches as far as I am concerned :D You have once again done us proud with this solution and I will pass this on to my contact at EA Games :D

Keep coming with these fixes and you never know what may happen as a result in the future (fingers crossed!)
