Let us hope the future update/patch for RAGE will negate the need for a 3rd-party util for the HUD issue.

Hey guys, just wanted to share as I'm not having any issues thus far with the game. A tiny bit of texture fill on the very outer left and right of the screen when you spin the mouse really fast but I don't notice it honestly. Other than that fps are 58-60 (vsync forced in the launch options). Never has the framerate gone below 58. Not sure why.

2600k @4.4Ghz
gtx570sli @5912x1200 with bezel correction, YAY! Nvidia BF3 driver 285.38
onboard HD audio via Realtek on Gigabyte p67a-UD7 with latest drivers, September release date (some engine sound cut out when in vehicles (only sound issue I've had), I imagine that will be patched out, minor annoyance)

Not using a custom config file, I just put these in the launch options:

+set com_skipIntroVideo 1 +cvaradd g_fov 18 +cvaradd hands_fovscale 1 +fc_maxcachememoryMB 1024 +r_swapInterval 1 +vt_pageImageSizeUnique 8192 +vt_pageImageSizeUniqueDiffuseOnly 8192 +vt_pageImageSizeUniqueDiffuseOnly2 8192 +vt_maxAniso 4

In game Video settings set to 4x AA, GPU transcode ON

I used cvaradd g_fov 18 cause higher makes more of your lack of arm attachment show for some weapons (sniper rifle, crossbow) I would use lower for my res but it stretches the image a little to much for me.

Game runs like a top, anything that's "crucial that you look at" seems to have great texture work. Some other things, tertiary walls and what not that you spin past or don't focus on so much don't look as detailed. It would be great if the entire game just looked GAH but at what expense? If you get immersed in the game, or at least when I get in to the game, after the initial looking around I don't even notice any of that garbage all these people are complaining about.

Cue the, "I HAVE AWESOME HARDWARE AND SPENT 3000 QUID ON A F*CKING PROPER SETUP AND THIS IS WHAT YOU GIVE ME!!11!1#@#"

I don't understand people. Looks and plays fine to me. A lot of fun so far.

Do you have to be so sarcastic and douchebaggy about our complaints? I never said the game was total trash, just a bit miffed that the texture quality is so low in some spots.
It's jarring to my immersion to be talking to an NPC that's so deatailed and high res who's standing beside a counter made of mashed-potato textures.

I mean THIS and THIS are both from the same game, how is that not crazy?

Compression hurt the megatextures significantly and some of us are the "graphics snobs" or whatever and it does effect our enjoyment of the game. No need to be dismissive about my concerns and imply that something is wrong with me.

Cheat engine does not work for me. When I hit memory view, a message appears: "control-c hit" then error "access violation". Then it just freezes. Is it compatible with windows 7 x64 or am I doing something wrong?
