There are so many different system configurations but it seems like a good way to judge is to get your flat score off 3dmark06.

I just upgraded cpu and video card and improved my 3dmark score from 7000 to 9000. Is 9000 going to be a fast enough system to play games with triplehead?

I have the freebie version of 3dmark. It doesn't allow you to switch any options on the free version. I think it benches everything at 1024X768 but am not positive.

It's an Opteron 180.

I don't really care if the score is good or bad, but is it high enough to run games in triple screen? I am going to play WoW, C&C3, and hopefully when it comes out QuakeWars.

That's your CPU. Starfighter was askign about your GPU (your video card).

Right now the best determination of that is what GPU you own. You bring up an interesting point, though - is 3DMark a good indication of triplehead performance? We'd have to do some testing to find out, but my hunch is NO.

Good performance and triplehead requires the video card to perform well at high resolutions, with a fast fill rate and lots of video memory. 3DMark at 1024x768 doesn't really fit the bill.

You should have gotten the 640mb version because at TH resolutions that is a big limitation.

Thanks thats good info. If it wont run it at a decent speed, I don't have a problem with selling this one off and buying the 640 meg card. I can even go SLI if I absolutely have to. I would prefer not to spend the $$$ though.
