One of my wishes for awhile now would be to see Matrox do an updated Reef Demo for the Graphics eXpansion Module line of products. It would be really nice to see an updated reef demo for DirectX 9.0. If that's not feasable, maybe just re-release the old demo with upgraded sized textures for current generation hardware. I've always had a wish that the reef demo would be updated and even have a screensaver mode to it. It always seems so silly to me that video card tech demos never get integrated in as true screensavers. Donno why they've never done that. :)

Although impractical you can use just about any .exe as a screen saver, even notepad. A .scr is just a remapped .exe.

Some ati tech demos even came with a separate screen saver application which could be use to start any other .exe provided you renamed it or such.

As long as that reef demo can just start without user intervention you could just set the registry entry for the regular .scr screensaver to it's .exe path (ex: c:matroxreef.exe).

Can't say how effective it would be in terms of locking out screen and other usual screen saver duties though.
