Since we all know Hor+ is better, here are fixes for Blacksite's unsightly Vert- behavior. The archive contains fixes for 16:10, 15:9, 16:9, 3x5:4, and 3x16:10 aspect ratios. Instructions are included in the readme file. Fix available from the PC Gaming Wiki Community Files (search there) Also, I found the camera shake caused by taking damage to be highly annoying, as every single bullet impact would jerk the camera in a different direction. This rapidly diminished the fun factor, so I disabled the camera shake and added that to the FOV fix. Download this if you hate the shake: Fix available from the PC Gaming Wiki Community Files (search there) Comparison shots: 1280x1024 1680x1050 1280x768 1600x900 3840x1024 5040x1050 |

You're welcome! Amazing that the Unreal Engine 3 can do Hor+, huh?   Seriously, this is one game in which it would have been very, very simple for the developer to implement Hor+ behavior across the board and they just...didn't. |

I had the same reaction when I first saw Paddy's surround shots of Legendary  All these Vert- blockbusters built on UE3 - and here comes lil dev Spark to save the day ! And now Midway with Blacksite. Underdog powah !! There's a huge problem that loads of players used to have, that'd obviously be easy to fix and probably cost Blacksite's rep and sales rates a lot : the game initially runs in 1280x720, so if your monitor does not support it, you're in for a black screen and no way to select a working res (thanks to Midway-style fiddling with UE3's "protected" user files). Was this ever fixed ? My TripleHead setup does not support 1280x720, so I'd like to be sure installing the game on it won't be in vain :? |

Was this ever fixed ? My TripleHead setup does not support 1280x720, so I'd like to be sure installing the game on it won't be in vain :? No idea. I wasn't aware of that issue. When I first launched the game on my rig it loaded @ 1024x768 on my center monitor. I was able to select all resolutions from the in-game menu. |

The game initially ran in 1280x768 on my TripleHead setup, although the displayed default setting is 1024x768. So maybe you got FOOLED ! 1280x768 pretending to be 4:3 BTW I'm going through the game again to write an updated DR, and the lack of fix for 15:9 might make the Supported Resolutions section and cranky's calculations unnecessarily complicated. Could you please include a Coalesced.ini for 1280x768 in your fix dear General, sir ? |

Wow thanks so much for this, I actually played about half the game triplewide but eventually the too zoomed in gameplay made me quit. Will have to patch and continue the game from where I left off. There is a great scene with a HUGE octopus like monster on a bridge that you have to battle, very cool and memorable scene. |
