After downloading the demo I decided to buy the game off of Steam. Don't believe some of the reviews out there. They are playing a different game than I am.
Playing at 3840x1024 and the widescreen is absolutely PERFECT except for the loading screens. HUD elements appear on my left and right monitors.... but are basic and non-essential for gameplay.
So far the only anomaly I've noticed is when you use a shoulder-mounted artillery piece. Like the rocket-launcher in HL2, part of the graphics become invisible on the extreme right of the screen due to lack of modeling.
Overall this is a fun and interesting game. The amount of troops on the field for the civil war battles is quite stunning. When stuck with a single-shot and then reload musket, you really want to make every shot count.
As a last note... I'm playing in 7.1 surround and the sound placement is absolutely perfect and immersive. Hearing bullets hit a metal railing right BEHIND you really makes you jump for cover.
A unique shooter that while not great, is absolutely fun to play.
