I played about 5 mins of this. The menu is fine non-stretched, the HUD is fine non-stretched, the inside gameplay is fine non-stretched. Even the movie when you launch the game is fine (pillarboxed).

However when you actually start playing all the cinematics in-game and every time you talk to someone it just shows a completely black screen. Since this is a BioWare game you talk to people... A LOT. And this is just completely unacceptable.

EDIT: Cutscene/dialogue issues fixed in 1.01a, update if you haven't already

Awww, I assumed this would have perfect support, being a PC game from the ground up.

I noticed there is a widescreen option in the launcher config, but I didn't mess with it.

hmm weird, the demo (char creation) stretches pretty much everything. I had to switch to single display to actually use it.

Ok, yeah, its not just the movies.. it's the conversation screens too. GG, that makes it completely unplayable at multi-mon resolutions. I tested this on 3840x1024, maybe someone else will have better luck  Guess I gotta play it on my craptastic 5:4 19" monitor.

Found the config in My Documentsbiowaredragon age but it doesn't seem promising.

What does "disable aspect ratio correction" do?

Without it checked, the game sets your FOV to the desktop resolution. So if you have your desktop set to a triplehead resolution and in-game you're using one monitor, you have to have it checked or it squashes everything.
I could deal with no cutscenes, but the fact that npc interaction is screwed in triplehead forces me to use one monitor. It's a really good game, but they really need to address this problem.

Arggghh I have this coming today and was really looking forward to it working straight out of the box!

This is a horrible blow to what would have been a really good game.
Its just not the same on one screen so I can see this getting thrown in to a corner until a fix is out.

Look at what Dave said here(scroll down a little):http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=171059&highlight=dragon+age#171059

"FYI - We are expecting a patch for improved Eyefinity support soon. I'll keep you posted when I know more!"

I would assume this would fix the problem with all triplehead setups.

Patch is out and fixes cutscenes and dialog problems. You can find it here: http://social.bioware.com/game_patches.php

Only problem now is you can't move the hotbar to the center monitor in-game. Dunno if there's a way to fix this another way, but it's really annoying having the hotbar on the far left monitor. You can drag it over, but then you lose the hotkeys(eg, 1-9).

It's easier to click them anyway.

Way to go Bioware for such a quick fix!
