Hey All,

Took a while but the much touted Samsung "Eyefinity" Monitors appear to have been demonstrated at CES - The Samsung MD230's.

FTFA:
"...The new displays are expected to be available in early 2010 from Samsung reseller and distribution channels starting at an MSRP of USD$3,099 for a six-screen configuration and USD$1,899 for a three-screen configuration..."
&
"...Samsung’s new MD230 displays feature bezels that are 50% to 70% thinner than traditional displays, making for a more seamless ATI Eyefinity experience..."

Can't find any actual specs, pics or vids though which is annoying me. Anyone else seen something? Samsung's website is hopeless...

Lets hope they are worth it!

Cheers,
Helio.

Seemed a bit rich to me too, but I thought I better hold judgment until I see more detail. Having said that, Samsung probably think they can gouge us as no one else has a tailored "Eyefinity" or TH2Go multi monitor product....Just yet....

Supposedly the stand costs them 2-300$ too.

I wonder if its 16:10 or 16:9 screens.

Now they are:

They look ok but I am a little disappointed, I expected smaller bezels and a sleeker look... :

I still think the 6 panel setup is a total waste for gaming. That 3 panel setup looks wonderful though. That's 3x 30" right? I pity that VESA stand setup they're using. That's gotta put a lot of stress on a single stand. Also, what size desk is required for 3x 30"?

No, it appears to be 3x23".

3x30" would cost way more considering one 30" S-IPS monitor retails for about 1500$ brand new.

$633 a piece gets you

23" 1920x1080
IPS or PVA (178 degree angles)
"50 to 70 percent thinner bezels"
Displayport + DVI
8ms response
3000:1 contrast

"The monitors can be set up in almost any combination needed--up to six total monitors, including:
3x1 Portrait
3x1 Landscape
3x1 Landscape + 1 extended
3x2 Landscape"

Those are the listed modes. Unfortunately I didn't see 5x1 Portrait + 1 extended, which would be ideal imo, but I fail to see how the current mounts would pull it off.

No indication if stand is included, though they are selling these not individually but as 3x and 6x sets, so I'd have to think they are.

I'll save my personal thoughts on this for another thread.

I asked this in another thread where someone posted about using 2 th2g's to hook up 6 monitors 3x2 landscaped, with videos on youtube.
I noticed that there was less or no fish eye effect with his set up,is that actually the case?what's actually gained or lost(visual real-estate-wise) using 3 in landscape vs 6
