Hi,

I currently run a Mac (Lion) with 3 monitors on a Sapphire 6870 1GB. I also have the Sapphire Active DP to DVI adapter for eyefinity purposes.

Setup:

- Syncmaster 932B -> Displayport to DVI Adapter
- Syncmaster BX2331 (Main) -> Plugged in HDMi
- Syncmaster -> Top DVI port

Everything works great and very smooth. When I reboot into windows, I get full eyefinity and can play games like COD4, Dirt2 etc without any issues. I set the resolution of all 3 screens to 1280x1024 and that makes my general resolution: 3840 x 1024.

However, I only use windows for resource intensive games or games that does not have versions for Mac.

Mostly I play Call of Duty 4 online and with all my documents etc on the Mac, it works out perfectly, since there is a native COD4 for Mac.
What I would like to know: How do I get COD4 on mac to span over my 3 screens?

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

Hello welcome to the site, if I can direct your attention to the bar at the top of the page, on that bar there is a menu called Games, if you hover over that you will then see Search Games, if you click that you can search our database of detailed reports for the game your after fixing. If we have a fix, it'll be listed in its detailed report, to save you time this time, you want this one: [#28]

Wouldn't surprise me, we don't have many people here that use Mac, and I don't know any that use them to play main stream games I'm afraid.

A week after your last post, but hopefully not too late... I doubt it'd be as simple as running one of the available memory hacks in WINE, but I guess it couldn't hurt to try if you don't mind a little legwork. I'm not a mac guy (but wine runs all sorts of things just fine in Linux). You'd have to use winetricks to get the required MS libraries (guessing .NET etc. will be needed), and it may not work at all depending on where the hack looks for the game process if it's run in wine (I don't know if wine runs things in a sort of sandbox). Maybe this'll give you something to Google at least, but I wouldn't get your hopes up over this being your solution. Sorry.

Edit: ...and screwed as my head is today, I just realised you'll be using whatever Mac has for binary executibles, and thus the available memory hacks wouldn't work (so far as I know) on that version since the exe or w/e it is would have different offsets etc. Short answer...if you read the above I just wasted a minute or so of your life. My apologies. I'll be quiet now.
