Running on a single monitor, with or without SLI, with our without 3D, Battlefield 3 runs perfectly at 1920x1080.
However, if I try to run it in 2D or 3D Surround, the program does not work. What happens is that at first, all three screen go black, but I can hear the sound of the game just fine. After about 15 seconds, the right monitor goes into power standby. If I hit escape, the cursor shows up but is confined to the center screen. About 5 seconds later, the BF3 background appears on the center monitor only, but no menu items at all. If I alt-tab out, the game goes into a small window on my left monitor, and everything looks perfect in that window (i.e. the BF3 background but also the selectable menu items). If I click on the window, it goes full screen over the three monitors (not windowed) and everything is black again.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled three different version of drivers including the latest 290.36.
Surround gaming works just fine in other games; for example Deus Ex:HR. I'm ONLY having this issue with BF3.
Any ideas?
Anyone else having this problem?
Thanks!
