Hello everyone, I am experiencing a very annoying problem with my new 3 monitor set up. I have a different resolution for my desktop than I do my games because of bevel correction. This is all fine and dandy except when I load most games and want to change my screen resolution I cant select the one I need. The reason being is that the choice of screen resolution is a drop down menu and the drop down menu extends past the game's screen and I cant scroll down or anything to get to the resolution I desire.

Anyone else experience this? Is there a way to disable smaller resolutions? I have been googling this for days with no solution, please help!

Sometimes you can bring up a resolutions list, and use the cursor keys to scroll through it. Also, most games generate a configuration file that you can manually edit to get your desired resolution. The locations of the configuration files differs, but are often in one of three locations.

The problem you speak of, I've rarely come across. What games are you trying to change?

Another possible fix could be to start the game in window-mode, so you can drag the window to a position where you can reach the resolution-settings, and then reboot the game without window-mode when you've saved your new settings.
Some games also has a launcher where you can set your basic graphic-settings (Like resolution) in windows before launching the game. This is usually found through your start-menu or cd/dvd-autorun screen.

But as Abram said, the names of the games you're having trouble with would help, a lot :) I personally haven't encountered this problem with any games yet.

I eventually got it working with most games but RIFT online is one game that I just can NOT get the right resolution. I tried windowed I tried making the interface smaller so I have more room to work with but no luck. I can get close but still 4-5 resolution options off.

rift.cfg is located in C:UsersAppDataRoamingRift.

scroll down to [Video] and edit ResolutionX = and ResolutionY =

Also, a hint about posting next time put the name of the game both in the topic and in the message. You put no name in either in your original post. We're not mind readers.
