Hey
I've been worried that I might have to lower resolution/settings when BF4 comes  and I was thinking if it's possible to use a two screen resolution spanned over three? like half the left monitor, the middle one, and half of the right one?
I guess softh can do this (never tried it) but that's only for DX9 so far from what I've gathered

any ideas?

heh ? since Eyefinity 2.0 you should be able to create custom eyefinity resolutions.

That means you could run 2560x720 or other resolutions!

Or did you mean that you have 3 monitors in Portrait and want 50% of your left and right Monitor Black and then run in 2560x1080 pixel ? Impossible in Fullscreen mode, or only when supported directly by the game.
But you could try Windowed mode. Should do what you want.

That was what I was thinking and clearly it was late since I didn't even think of windowed haha but I guess that rules out CFX so :(

You can use my tutorial to run some custom resolutions. As far as I can tell, BF4 wont be that much more intensive than BF3. They talked a lot about optimizing too.

btw, in order to run 3840x1080 over 3, you'd need to put 1280x1080 on each monitor, but that will look horrible, might I suggest keeping the aspect ratio the same? Like 4800x900 or 5334x1000 or even 3840x720.

If you want to be less wide and have black bars on the sides, you can only do that with windowed mode.

Thanks, Yeah I was actually thinking black bars but it seems that's kinda out of the question. Will just have to wait and see how the game runs I guess - thanks for taking your time
