Hello!

I just installed a second 3GB GTX 580 about half an hour ago and the three monitors are running well in SLI so far (3 25" LED displays by Asus).

So far, I love it. I'm about to test a game on it, though, but I was wondering if there was a way to make the monitors behave has three individual displays while I'm not playing a game?

I'd like to confine my start menu button to the left corner of the second screen and just let it continue on outward from both sides, if that makes sense. Before I had my third monitor up and running, the rightmost of the two monitors held the start button and menu, and when I would maximize a window it'd conform only to that monitor. As much as I'm digging SLI so far, it'd be awesome just for convenience to make it work like that again.

Thanks!

Unlike EyeFinity, which has hotkey-switching of modes working, nVidia Surround does not.

You either have to swap in and out from the nVidia Control Panel, or find a way of doing it via scripting (which I haven't had the time or inclination to do, I just stay in Surround all the time) or you could use something like UltraMon/DisplayFusion (or Acer GridVista, if it'll work) to grid up your desktop so that it acts like a monitor with two extended monitors.
