Swapped back to DisPort+DVI setup to test Jedi Outcast. Was fine, although I watched my GPU get warmer than it has done with any other games, when the framerate hit numbers-that-were-insanity...

Thx a lot to everybody! Now I have no doubts, I just don't know if going SLI or not, or maybe wait for the 690... Because 680 SLI is almost 1100 euros here in spain...

The 690 isn't likely to be cheap either. If it's less than 800-900 Euros I'll be quite surprised. And the TDP of the 680 is 195w IIRC, so to fit within the PCI-SIG specs, a 690 will have to lose a quarter of the power from each GPU. I'd think final clocks on each core to be something like 750-800MHz, presuming that the cards don't scale perfectly in respect to core clock to voltage (which they won't...)

I'm hoping its between 750-800, there is going to be some performance difference with 680 SLI, but I hope the gap is small. If not I can always wait for 670 SLI...

The price increase of the 4GB version is extortionate. £420 for a 'standard' 680, £550 for a 4GB version... that's highway robbery, I swear.
