hey guys,
this problem is driving me mad, and ive had it for a while now
i have a gtx590 watercooled and everydriver update after 285.62 causes the configure multi-gpu,physx, surround tab to
vanish from the nvidia control panel, and causes me to get stuck with one monitor
this has happened with every driver, so i have no choice but to reinstall 285.62 which sucks
i have tried uninstalling driver before updating and even goin to single monitor then doing the update and trying to go back to surround
but the option simply vanishes every time

Hey crispy, uninstall the video drivers (using the drivers uninstaller), reboot, run as admin Driver Sweeper, delete all Nvidia - Display and Nvidia - PhysX files, reboot again, download the latest drivers for your GTX 590 (301.42) and install it.

Pretty weird... What do you get when you click on "Set up multiple displays", under Display ?

Have you tried the new 301.42 WHQL drivers?

I suffered similar issues with getting Surround working on more up-to-date drivers and my 460s - they just didn't want to offer me Surround.

Yes that is weird, because it's the 3rd option under 3D settings where you need to choose to configure surround using SLI.

If you have had no success with DriverSweeper, I would try using a spare hard drive and installing Windows back onto it, latest Nvidia drivers, and see if it works that way. Might have a problem with your Windows or something. I know you don't want to, but I have no other suggestions sorry.
