So being pretty happy with the new nVIDIA drivers performance in BC2 I decide to sell my TH2GO and hopefully use the money to get a 3rd GTX285 second hand. Having just sold the TH2GO on eBay I realise that I haven't properly benchmarked the performance difference so I quickly reconnect the TH2GO for a quick benchmark before I post it off tomorrow. Unfortunately I'm over my internet cap so I can't download the latest WHQL drivers so I just use what I have on my hard drive.
Enjoy...
CPU: i7 920 @ 3800 MHz
RAM: 6 GB @ 1600 MHz
GPU: 2 x GTX285
TH2GO Driver: 257.21 WHQL
nVIDIA Surround Driver: 258.69 Beta
Benchmark: The guru3d Crysis benchmark

Resolution: 5040 x 1050
Results:
Code:
| DX9 medium | DX9 high | DX10 high
-------+------------+------------+------------
TH2GO | 63.4 | 39.6 | NA
nVIDIA | 55.8 | 35.6 | 31.6
Notes: Each test was done using 3 runs. The first run was slower by a large margin for every test and was discarded. The numbers reported are the average of the 2nd and 3rd run and were almost equal each time.
So I'm pretty happy with that but I am hoping it will be optimised in the next few driver updates. I'm also hoping that with 3 GPU's the scaling will be better than this anyway...
Happy times ahead!
