Aspect gives it full vertical with horizontal bar (or should do that). What you need to do, is to select in Nvidia control panel that the monitor does the scaling. There might be a mismatch between the GFX card and the screen where one overrides the other.

If you cannot make this work by altering settings on GFX card while leaving the monitor on aspect, post screenshots with imageshack.us or similar of the custom resolution menu and I'll tell you what to put in where. :)

Too bad. That would have solved the problem and we wouldn't need to do a hack to make it work.

Seems its changed and the method cannot be used anymore. The timings is correct according to standards.

Try rolling back to 186.91 drivers. They have scaling confirmed working.

186.18 is confirmed working, but I don't know which os:
http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=16486

There is 186.18 for XP:
http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/winxp_186.18_whql_uk.html

Broken again on the 190.38 according to same post.

Edit:
If that should fail, you can use the overscan method. This is how to enable it if its not working:

Just try and see if aspect scaling works after you install them. The other method I linked is something you can do if it still doesn't work. :)

Now I got the flat panel scaling option but when I choose "Use NVIDIA-scaling while maintaining aspect ratio" it makes my CS look like this:

-----------------
-------------------
-----------------
-----------------
-------------------
-----------------

the lines without "|" = my blackbars, so my blackbars are on the top and on the bottom instead of my sides.
