Post subject:  cannot see the logic about screen Res

I currently have a Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP 1920x1200, and I am looking to buy 2 new monitors, one for each side of the old one, so i can use it for surroundgaming. However the new ones im looking at have a res of 1920x1080. (The Dell G2410)

However there is something i cannot wrap my head around.

If all screens are the same height in centimeters , and all screens are running 1680x1050 (instead of their native resolution), and thereby stretching the image to fill the entire screen, shouldnt an image / game running 5040x1050 be perfectly aligned with the other screens (Same height of the same image).
Even if the 2 new screens have max resolution of 1920x1080, and the old one have 1920x1200 max, when all 3 are running 1680x1050 to make a 5040x1050 image i would think a supposedly straight line in the image / game would align down to a few pixels on the next screen.
Is this assumption correct ?

If not...howcome ?

hmm your saying the 1920x1080 ones have the same visable screen height as the 1920x1200 one?

16:9 and 16:10 shouldnt have the same verticle height, or they wont be the proper aspect ratio

in general that's true
unless the pitch is radically different, in this case the 1920x1080 panel should be wider and therefore shouldn't be in the same size class (24") but rather a 26"/27" (24/1080x1200)
