Hello all.

I just want to know if it's possible to Force Hz(as on CRT) on tft widescreen. My friend just got a new fresh monitor but he is whining about he cant get over 75Hz in CS(at 640x480 res)

So I simply just want to know if it's possible with some kind of program/"coding".
We've tryed ReForce and RefreshLock and also Rivatuner but it does not help.
The thing that happens is that the res he wants to play with dissaperes from the Res-list in CS :S

He is Using winxp pro and the latest drivers(257.21)

/solo

He cannot force a higher refresh rate than is supported by the monitor, no. Most TFTs go to a max of 75hz @ 1280x1024 or similar.

You can however force it lower if you wanted to, but I'm guessing you don't want to do that.

There is no point in forcing a refresh rate on a LCD. Even if he got it to show a higher refresh, the LCD is locked to a lower one, so it would only mean that the LCD would drop the extra frames instead of displaying them.

If he wants a higher refresh, best bet would be to get a 120hz LCD. :)
