Any suggestions of a 28" LED 1920x1200 monitor? Want to pick up 3-4 of them. Seems I can only find a 1200x1080 LED around that size or I would have to go with an LCD at 1900x1200. Can't seem to find the best of both worlds? And it seems the way of the future is to go LED backlit for better contrast, heat (especially with four monitors).

Issue is I am afraid that at that size pixels will be so big it could difficult for doing actual work on them (Word docs, spreadsheets, sharp readable text, etc.) when I am not flying (flying is my game of choice).

Anybody care to chime in? Will 1900x1080 work if I am around 2-2 1/2 feet from the screens?

Apple Cinema Display at 27" would fit the bill at higher resolution, maybe you could look at some HDTV's if you can put up with them being 16:9, at 32" though.

HDTV marketing has pushed the majority of monitors to 16:9, unfortunately. However it's not that big of a deal losing 120 pixels of vertical viewing space from that distance. I sit the same distance away from a 23.6" and it suits my needs just fine. Besides, 16:9 is better for gaming if the game has proper widescreen support because you'll be seeing more horizontally in the same vertical space than a 16:10 monitor.

Have you tried looking for a Hanns.G HZ281HPB 27.5" monitor?

They are supposed to be 1920x1200 even though marketed as 'Full HD 1080p' (Which I guess they will be capable of).

SCRATCH that, I didn't read the OP properly, it is not LED.
