Hi, now that i have seen the new 27 inch 3d monitor i i must say that i'm very impressed by it.

my question now is

what would be better

running 3x BenQ XL2420T
or
running 3x Asus VG278H

both run at a resolution of 1920x1080 and i'm kinda scared that the 27" from asus is a bit to big for such an resolution.

let me know what you would pick and why

Are you going for a triple-monitor setup? What GPU do you have?

IF you have a GPU that can handles using Anti-Aliasing, then 1920x1080 will look fine on a large display. Would you use tthe audio features of the ASUS?

If you plan on sticking with single display while gaming, then go for the 27"

On pure dot pitch alone, 1080P with anti-aliasing on a 27" should be fine for gaming, but for ultra crisp "monitor" like resolution for text etc, you might be missing out. By all accounts, those BenQ screens should be good though.

Just a quick question, have you considered the S23A750 Samsung screen? They are all TN panels, afaik, but, the Samsung is glossy, doesn't have a matte anti-glare coating. I find those a big turn off, but you might not be bothered by it. Worth thinking about anyway IMO!

i am running EVGA GTX 570 SC in SLI so i would run into a VRAM issue with AA cranked up

was planning on playing with 2x or 4x AA max anyways.

and no i won't use the audio future

Yes i did consider the Samsungs (huge fan of that brand), however i cba to get any of their designs anymore. It's all way to glossy as you mentioned above. i prefer a simple design monitor (XL2420T bezel style for example).

Aswell i'm aware that all the 120hz monitors are TN panels.. however i'm using a TN panel right now aswell, and i'm satisfied enough with the colours and viewing angle that it has, so that really ain't the problem for me

must mention tho that i'm only interested in the 120hz for the extra hz above my current 60hz monitor... i'm not really into the 3d stuff

As it looks now i think i'm just going with

3x BenQ XL2420T on a XFX Triple monitor stand

waiting for the reviews about the BenQ first tho ;)
