Which d-box product, after looking on their site, it seems different... I believe they're prototype seats. When we were putting them together they had a very odd mix-match of metric and imperial bolts being used. |

Sorry I missed you guys, I didn't get to stay long, I brought a friend that was bored. The projector setup was nice. What all hardware is required for the seat part (wheel, pedals, everything)? Next house we build is going to have a larger dedicated game room, and would love to get a setup like that :) Doing a setup like that is pretty straight forward. The street prices on those GT720 are $500 each and depending on the screen material throw in a $250-500 DIY budget for that. The key issues is always having a room to set it all up in though. My luck is that the house has an unfinished basement I can do all sorts of crazy setups in. The the racing seat was a D-Box motion actuated seat using a standard Logitech G27 setup. The seat used the same D-Box actuators as the Virtual-GT seats do, but is a bit more cost effective from D-Box in that configuration. Motion actuated seats are still really expensive though. The screens could of been better, but under the time constraints they were still quite enjoyable. I'm my own worst critic when it comes to nitpicking setups I help with, so it was good to hear that noone complained about a few of the things that were bugging me about them. What counts is people had fun with them. ;) |
