I have three T240 Samsung monitors and I would like to strip them to minimize bezel. Unfortunately, when I did open back plastic cover I realized that backplate with PCBs are completely floating including slot port for monitor stand (and also for wall mount part if you like). Both are holded by plastic cover when monitor is assembled. You can see how it looks like on this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UEGD-uhkTo
Now, my question is: do any of you, know some way to make this backplate stay together with monitor itself without a plastic case? Should I smolder it somehow, I'm pretty sure this wouldn't be healthy for rest of the parts :)
I was thinking about some holder in "H" shape to hold monitor from top and down, but I have no idea about monitor aluminium bezel resisstance for such solution... Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

I would look towards solutions where you cut off the bezels on the side of the plastic frame and then reattach the frame again.
