Hey there,

right now im running 2 gtx 580 zotac amp2 with 3 gb in sli for 3 full hd monitors.

no im having trouble with temperatures due to the arrangement of the cards im thinking about switching to a newer generation.

so either 780 or 690, whereas i would get a used 690 cheaper than a new 780.

feel free to post any tests youve read or so. because i couldnt find much about it...

thanks in advance.

Raw performance the 690 wins, hands down (well for games/apps that utilizes SLI) but as far as I know there's only 2GB on all those cards meaning no ultra textures for you.
I'd probably go with a 690, unless you want to be able to SLI 780's in the future.

Just google "GTX 690 vs GTX 780" and you'll find lots of interesting posts!

thats the one i found =D

All other are camparisons between gtx 680, 780 and Titan.
i dont want a dual card system anymore due to the arrangement, i would have to watercool them to really push them to the limit.
so right now its just either 690 or 780 or just wait for 790 which probably will be really expensive.

well 690 is a dual card when it comes down to gaming/performance but I guess you're talking about the actual card inside the case in which case it's not a problem!
But yeah if you get a good deal on a 690 go for it, it'll really whip that llama's ass!
