I can purchase 3 acer predator 24inch 2560x1440 180hz monitors for about the same price as a single acer predator x34, what type of setup would be best for gaming also is it hard to setup and configure 3 displays? what are the minimum pc specs to game on triple displays like these? my current pc is a 6850k,single gtx 1080 and 32gb memory.

I have been using 3 screens for gaming since 2010. I currently have a 7680x1440 setup. Setup is not that bad and there are many tutorials on the net. However, that res takes a lot of horsepower on the GPU side. 10.8 million pixels with 7680x1440 vs 8.4 million for 4k and 4.9 million for a x34. When they release a 3860x1600 screen like the one by LG but has a 100hz refresh, HDR and Gsync I will buy it.

Thank you for the info, I will buy the x34 now and if I buy the 2 year warrenty in microcenter I can replace the x34 at any time like when that 3860x1600 comes out. my local micro center also has the asus ultrawide but I dont like the crazy looking stand it has.

Well.... if you intend to play AAA Games in best graphics on 3x 2560x1400 in 180Hz you would probably need Quad Titan...
To bad nVidia doesn't support QuadSLI anymore. ^^
