 Post subject: Cold Waters centred hud

The game works fine in multi-monitor, but the hud is stuck on the sides.

To fix it copy

Cold Waters\ColdWaters_Data\StreamingAssets\default\hud\default.txt
to (creating dirs as needed)

open copied default.txt in notepad, scroll down to the [HUD LAYOUT] section (at the bottom)

I cut and pasted the default.txt file changes to move the HUD position to the center screen on my triple screen setup. But the Mini-map, just the minimap stays in the bottom left hand corner of the left hand monitor. I can't get it to move.

I just altered it in the override folder and when that didn't work I changed it in the default folder - am I missing something here?

Have you confirmed a way to move the Minimap in this excellent game Cold Waters?

Could you post the entire edited [HUD LAYOUT] section, and your res?
Edit: and your original section

in 1.03 they added
UpperRightRecognitionManual=0,0
I changed it to
UpperRightRecognitionManual=-1920,0
but my map is fine, other than it seems that the mini-map moves, but the icons stay on the far left :(

Something tells me
Version 1.01b
Mini-map "zoomable" area now matches mini-map size
is what caused the stuck icons (you can complain and see if they fix it, I don't play the game).

Thanks for getting back. I am using 5760 x 1080 resolution with Nvidia Surround. Below is my edited default.txt file. I left UpperRightRecognitionManual=0,0 at these values because I like it on the far side anyway.

It's just as you say - the moving icons of ship and subs stay on the far left monitor whilst everything else including the map grid moves onto the center monitor. I have posted on their forum and sent support a ticket.

Dev's confirmed they forgot to move the minimap camera with HUD layout changes. So it's a hard coded problem until a future patch.

It's a great game - can't wait for triple screen goodness.

It's been fixed in the new Patch 1.05 Beta. And it is now amazing to play.
