first off let me say that this is an amazing site so much info to read.
i just got this monitor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824112003 i have tried to play BF2 AND 2142 but the game just quit's to the desktop.i can play HL2 and COD2 with no problem's. the monitor's max resolution is 1680x1050, i had the game set at 1600x1200 which did not work the next lowest was 1280x1024 which also failed. i set these adjustment's with my old CRT. any advise so i can battle. i have also tried both analog and digital cable's but no luck. this is the advise i have tried with no luck:

delete everything in

My DocumentsBattlefield 2modsbf2cache

delete video.con in

My DocumentsBattlefield 2Profiles00n

(n= the number your online account is, look in profile.con if not sure)

Youll have to set the video settings up again and renew the shaders on the first map load but that should get you back in. Dont change the resolution!! Leave it at default.

Then find your bf2 shortcut you use to start the game, right click it, go properties and after +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 add this

+szx 1680 +szy 1050

and that will get you going at your native resolution

please advise so i can get the most out of my new purchas
