Just started playing and the game seems to function as intended on 2560x1080. Only drawback I have seen so far are the cinematics, as they seem to be rendered in 16:9 leaving black bars on the sides. Other than that, the hud scales as it should and the FOV seems great. I will post back if i find any issues.

Games that use the Frostbite engine seem to handle wide(r)screen resolutions better out of the box. Good news for us! :onethumb:

Amazing screenshots. I'm still trying to figure out how to get mine working properly with nVidia surround, using 344.75 drivers now.

Perhaps it's working with Eyefinity?

When I start the game (as admin) from a desktop at 6180x1080 (bezel corrected resolution) the game starts in a windowed mode on the corner of the left monitor. When I click on that window it goes full screen and seems to go through the opening cinematics without incident. When the "Click to Continue" prompt comes up I'm unable to click anything to proceed, it just sits there. I've never seen this type of problem before and I'd love to see what kind of FPS I get in surround. If it's working for anyone successfully in nVidia surround (5760x1080 or above) please see if you can lend me a hand.

Also, recently the nVidia control panel has allowed me to set keyboard-bound shortcuts to switch from 1920x1080 back to 6180x1080 on the fly with Control-Alt-R and Contol-Alt-S respectively. Sadly, the game doesn't seem to want to run in this spoofed 1 screen mode (crashes to desktop after freezing for a good 30 seconds while trying to load up). A bit of a shame.

I'm sure this will be patched up and working soonish, but I thought I'd post my experience thus far.

Thanks!

Some of the menu's aren't displayed correctly, such as setting the followers traits in battle, they go off the edge; other than that it's fine.

I tried it with my GTX 970. At first it showed the surround resolution in the menu but the side monitors were not showing anything in game. When I tried to switch to 1920x1080 it failed somehow and I had to reselect a resolution blind and it went back to the surround resolution, now with side monitors working as intended. The game played ok for the most part, got ~35 FPS maxed no MSAA. Cutscenes had some weird black uneven bar creeping up from the bottom. The cutscenes seem to have other issues too, they judder quite a bit no matter what setting or resolution I use. You can change the cutscene framerate to 60 with a shortcut command -GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+ but this didn't really fix the judder, and it probably causes other issues. I noticed if my FPS was too high the new game intro would cut and place me in the scene rather than move on to the next one.

I noticed the game seemed to drop FPS seriously if used in borderless windowed mode. I got a lot better performance full screen vsync on.

BTW if you didn't know, you can use Nvidia Surround Toggle v3 to toggle between extended mode and surround. A lot more convinient than ctrl+alt+s.

I had this issue as well, disable all the Origin overlay stuff, disable -> Origin In Game in Origin app settings that is what fixed it for me. Before I was stuck in the main screen and I could no click my mouse or my game pad nothing worked.

Thanks! I always forget about the overlays - Origin's is pretty useless anyways. It's working quite nicely now and it's decently playable (at 25-40fps, playable to my eyes) on high settings with SSAO using GTX 770s in SLI. I was using fraps for my FPS counter but when I tried to take a screenshot (bound to F10) it crashed the game immediately to desktop every time. I guess I'll have to troubleshoot that now. What screenshot tool is popular around these parts?

I tried this and wasn't really sure how to use it. I loaded it up with surround and hotkeys enabled per the instructions and it immediately made it so my middle and right monitor were working only (the two screens plugged into GPU #1). I checked in nVidia control panel and saw that surround had been disabled. Not sure if I did something wrong or if my setup is unusual. It's not a big deal as I don't really need to toggle between the two regularly.

Hello there wsgf! This is my first post after finally registering after a couple months on your site.

Dragon age does work well when you first load it up and, as mentioned in a reply above, only seems to have minor problems during cut scenes with "stuttering" a bit. The game looks beautiful and plays great. I also disabled the Origin overlay in game as recommended above. Still, I have a unique problem.

Courtesy warning that the paragraph detailing my problem below has the smallest of spoilers for 30 minutes into the game where I am experiencing my problem. ----------- ******

My issue is right after I beat the first "boss" about 30 minutes into the game. The game plays great in triple monitor widescreen up until I beat the first demon boss fight where I then wake up in a room. To help indicate where I am, I wake up in this room and this person comes in worried and saying "My Lord, the whole town is talking about you. You have done such great things with the rift closing" etc etc etc. Right when I am able to leave that cut scene and walk around the game will NOT under any circumstances allow me to continue in widescreen. It just closes and shuts down all 10 times I've tried it. I have to swap back to 1920 x 1080 just to continue the game. I have even tried reloading, beating the "30 minute boss" again, to see if it was a glitch. The problem persists. If my game is in triple monitor set up after beating that boss the game will simply shut down and close after I wake up in that room and the cut scenes end. I am forced to pre preemptively change the resolution to 1920 x 1200 or whatever it is from the main screen to even continue.

I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this problem? Perhaps I need to just play further into the game and then I will, as in the first 30 minutes before the boss encounter, eventually swap back to widescreen?!?!

Any thoughts fellow wsgf'ers?

Thanks
