Baseline (Widescreen) Solution & Issues
Native Hor+ support. Standard resolutions are 16:10 anamorphic.
Current desktop aspect ratio is automatically enforced; in-game resolution setting is only meant to lower the pixel count and increase performance.
In windowed mode however the game can be freely resized to any aspect (with black bars added or removed accordingly).
Ultra/Super-Wide (21:9/32:9) Specific Solution & Issues
Pillarboxed by default. To fix this:
- open INSIDE.exe in a hex editor
- search for 398EE33F
- replace all 4 tokens with 26B41740 (2560x1080) or 8EE31840 (3440x1440)
- save changes and launch the game
- under Settings/Graphics/Resolution, re-apply the maximum (native) resolution to update the aspect ratio once and for all.
- Outstanding issues
- Ending credits are slightly cut-off.
Eyefinity / Surround Specific Solution & Issues
Same method as for UltraWide; use ResHex to get the Combined Hex value for your very own resolution.
In TripleWide the side monitors show level architecture popping in and out of view in some areas. For a more immersive experience you might want to constrain the picture to a slightly narrower aspect instead. Try replacing 398EE33F with ABAA2A40 (24:9) or 00007040 (15:4) instead. Wide FOV, minimal glitches.
- Outstanding issues
- Load menu art is Vert-.
- Ending credits are cut-off.
