Hi, due to elior77 topic (http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=17827) I am able to have native resolution.
Previously I used 3840x800 - everything was OK, but now I have occasionally black screen on all monitors. Only in FSX, system is OK, watching movies are also OK. I have noticed it first time when I closed the kneeboard in FSX. During all screens black, FSX stays where it was, like the PC was frozen for a second or two - sound is disabled, aircraft is not moving and everything goes back to normal.
What could be a reason? Any help will be much appreciated.

I have the same problem. It occurs in FSX and FS9. It happened in XP, Vista, and now Windows 7. I have an ATI (H.I.S.) HD3870 IceQ 512 meg card and the TH2G Digital Edition. Monitors are Acer X223W. I run a 4th monitor (NEC 17") in the second channel for 2D instrument display. The Matrox drivers and firmware and the ATI driver are the latest version.

I've done everything I can think of, reinstalls of game and system, defrag, memory tests, power supply tests, virus checks, startup with only Microsoft exe's. Nothing solves it. Maybe it's the card. I hate to spend more money to find out a more powerful card does the same thing. I haven't tried at dualhead settings rather than triplehead. Suppose that's next...

Might want to check your Event Viewer and see what it says.

Event Viewer shows no problem.

Hi

Try turning off Anit-Aliasing in the games menu. Probably will fix it.
Turn off Vsync in the driver menu of your GFX card.

Good luck :)

Thanks Butch!
That was it. I turned off Vsync and set AA in nVidia panel, not FSX
