anyone played this game..

it seems it will support high resolution (in my case 6028x1200 eyefinity)

but it seems to render it at lower resolution and then scaled to the high resolution.
so the end image is kinda blocky for the game to be running in such high resolution

anyone heard of this problem or read something about it? I can't seem to google it out

Performance->GPU Speed->Customize->Max 3D Rendering Mpix = Unlimited

Took me a while to find this as well.

This is unrelated to widescreen support, but the game appears to automatically scale down the rendering of 3D in all resolutions above 1920x1200, even on Ultra GPU settings. To ensure maximum visual quality (if you can afford the framerate drop), use this setting under Options, Performance, GPU Options, Customize:
Max 3D Rendering MPIX: Unlimited
:roll:

I wish every game had the insane variety of graphics options that the new Sam games do...

thanks everyone.

The Second Encounter have much better Eyefinity support than the first one. as the HUD element doesn't disappear behind the bezel compensation

Like hud position and all that jazz, yeah.

I have not played the 2nd one yet but the first one kept me enertained for a bit. Not too long though. I hope the 2nd one adds a bit more variety and replayability

One issue I had with the first game was sliding the monitor size thing to fit my center screen would cause the game to lockup right as it was the perfect size so I had to edit that manually in the config file rather than using the in-game gui.

I forget how/where I did that though.

You don't have to worry about that anymore, it's been fixed in a patch ;) The sliders work ok in both games.
