Well, are you looking for just larger size or higher resolution?

For larger size you can go with a projector and still get a resolution of 1920x1080 for around $600-800

If you want larger and higher resolution there is the Dell 30" that offers 2560x1600 resolution. Which starts at about ~$1200. (drool...)

Just a note though, it is a dual link dvi or hdmi, so make sure you plan accordingly.

No, it means that the DVI is using 2 tdsm clocks in order to get more bandwidth for bigger resolutions. A 580 will power a 30" no problem. Also there's the dell 2711 which has a higher resolution and is still 27".

2711 higher res than a 30"er?

30"er = 2560x1600
2711 = 2560x1440

???

I said nothing about it being higher res than a 30". It's higher res than his 2709w. I was giving alternatives. Though a USED 3007wfp-hc is about the same price (cheaper) than a Used u2711.

As the monitor you reference straight before mentioning the 'higher res' 2711 was 30", I had that stuck in my head and basically went, "wait, what?"

Now you clarify that you were comparing the 2709 to 2711, it all becomes clear. ;)

Sorry for confusion. The way my brain works is not exactly in logical order. I dismiss the passage of time and clump everything into one time period. It seems dumb, but i think it's the way I can cram more things into my head.
