Hey all, so I know this issues is "kinda" like the custom resolution problems from this thread:
http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=17635

however its not quite the same problem so hoping im not out of line to launch a new thread...

So finally solved some issues preventing me from getting my 5870 to go into eyefinity mode with 6x Optoma GT720 projectors.
It will enter eyefinity mode fine now, HOWEVER CCC won't recognize the correct native resolution of the DLPs and ends up setting all the screens to 1920x1080(IE 5760x2160) instead of 1280x800(IE 3840x1600).
CCC won't let me change the resolution to what I want, and windows also doesn't have the desired res available.
All projectors are identical; and ALL have a native resolution of 1280x800.

Im assuming I "should" be able to use the Moninfo/Phoenix trick to hopefully force CCC to accept these DLPs at the desired res, but im wondering why Im getting this problem and wondering if there would be a better way to solve it...

Thanks!

I'd just do the inf trick and move on with things. What are the projectors showing as in divice manager when not eyefinity grouped?

Well..... that KINDA worked.....

after a few tries got it to work after engaging scaling in CCC AND loading the new .inf file for EACH of the 6 DLPs... then I was able to get eyefinity to work at the prescribed correct res....
however after rebooting the machine it hangs Just after the windows logo fades out while it still says "welcome to windows/loading windows/ whatever"

oddly enough I had already rebooted the machine several times after loading the new drivers; this seemed to only happen AFTER CCC finally got its head around 3840x1600...

It will still boot into safe mode; so I am assuming uninstalling either the drivers or CCC will get things back up and running however does anyone have any ideas as to what may have happend or how to solve the problem once and for all?
