Was running nicely in Surround, with 2x AA and 4xAF at 5760x1080, then I realized something...

I was playing with "hardcore mode" in surround, as you don't see a crosshair when on 3 screens :)
Also, the old source foolery of making the on-screen 2d help tips 3x too big by scaling them based on screen width again.

Still, runs pretty nicely (bit of mouse lag with vsync though) and is HOR+, so hopefully they fix it so you can aim.

Using SoftTH here. Got through a few chambers before I realised I had no crosshair.

I spotted the lack of a crosshair right away. I don't mind.. playing all that hardcore mode on Black Ops has helped.

Same bug as in HL2, the way I fixed it for HL2 was the high res textures mod, some of the files in that mod fixed it. So probably can do something similar for Portal 2

I'm playing in EyeFinity 6048x1080 and I find the FOV extremely narrow, the original Portal was much wider

Yeah, the FOV is a little tight. Is there any way to adjust it?

How's the fov compare to previous Valve games? HL Episodes 1 and 2 make me motion sick if I don't increase the fov but they're quite narrow by default (75 ish?) whereas I've heard that Portal 2 is more like 90 which I should be ok with.

There's a thread on the steam forums but it seems to have descended into a console-port trollfest

It's not sickenlingly tight, but definitely seems like a console-friendly FOV meant for sitting back from a TV.

I'd prefer another 10 deg.

Just cheat like me and put a little bit of paper on the screen ;)

Not got this yet but it seems to be as much fun as 1 so I am sure I will.
