Okay, so all of a sudden the Radeon HD 5870 has vanished from stores and I'm not sure how to do my 3x2 setup anymore. Do any of you know anything about this? Is a new Eyefinity 6 card going to come out soon?

5000-series has been EOL for a long time now. Just like they no longer my 2010 cars in 2011, they typically don't make 5870's when they have 6970s to make. I do believe that there is a non-reference design 6870 E6 available by one manufacturer. Only other option is just search around for someplace with NOS.

I saw a post awhile ago about a new version of the HD5870 E6, it's on it's way, just be patient, or get an old one.

Yep, it seems like a step back to only supporting up to five when there was the six option. Of course, with dp1.2, more than six could be supported but until dp1.2 hubs and/or monitors come out then it's stuck at five.

Aye.

I applaud AMD for supporting new tech that isn't yet fully available in the channels, but it's a pain when it takes longer than expected and we're left sitting here twiddling our thumbs. ;)

Any of these should work :)

atm, it seems those are the only options for 6 displays.

I was thinking of going with these as an upgrade... but then one of those DVI ports are only Single-link. Which puts me off a bit. My E6 card can accommodate 6 30"rs.

There are some Sapphire HD6870s with Eyefinity6. Though, probably not the best choice, performance-wise.

Eh... Yeah, I think that's more of a downgrade. :P
