Hey all, I was wondering what the community was getting in terms of FPS in The Witcher 2. I've held off playing until I can get some decent frames in 3D.
I use a bezel corrected 5820x1090 with to 2 EVGA GTX580 slightly OC'd to 831MHz. On Ultra settings with everything turned on including DAS UBER I get a solid 9FPS. Certainly not playable in regular 2D or 3D. I'm hoping Nvidia will be able to substantially increase the performance a la Dragons Age 2 with the next driver release but I'm not holding my breath. What settings are you guys playing and what kind of frames are you getting?? I really want to play this game but I'm willing to wait a little bit if it means a better experience...

BTW I havent tried Hayden's fix yet but its good to know guys like him are doing the work that they do! CHEERS DUDE!! Mega rep!!

Same here, cant wait for a drivers fix, this is probably the best looking 3D game ever.

All maxed, no uber, outside 22-38 FPS, inside 7-12 FPS, at 5040x1050.

Between Nvidia and the game devs I wonder if its feasible that us widescreen gamers will be able to get drivers/fixes that'll net us 60fps for some decent 3D action. I mean on a nice lookin game like Arkham Asylum I get 60fps IN 3D with everything maxed (2AA)....I guess its like comparing apples to oranges but C'MON MAN!!

With a game this demanding, asking for 60 FPS in 3dvision is pretty unrealistic, unless you have quad-SLI of 580's.

I have 3 way SLI of gtx480's and my FPS on ultra settings, no ubersample is about 60-85 FPS without 3d and only on one monitor.

Even with quad-SLI I don't think you'd be able to do it because I don't think 4 GPU's would scale very well if at all.

Of course I'd have to tone the settings down a bit but I'm hoping the next set of drivers give us a big boost. Fingers crossed.

with a single 6970. all maxed v1.0 6048*1080 is 7-9 FPS
