Hi guys, I've downloaded the version posted by "iNCQRiT" in the 21 page and tried to play AoE The Age of Kings.
I tried to change the resolution parameters in the "config.xml" file and it didn't work. It seems that AoE is forced to run at 1280x1024 resolution. So, does anybody know how to force it to another resolution or a way to play Age of Kings in 1280x800 res?

I just wanted to play the Age of Kings Campaings :cry:

Sorry man, my version is specifically made for 1920x1080 (full hd). 1280x800 is not going to work.

just make a newwexe with AoE2Wide for the resoulution and start AoC1.0c 1900x1080.exe

One question: can u run this patch with a population add on, if yes witch one and were can i get it.

the one of Mandalorian doesn's work with the wide screen patch

Can someone help me? I want to play aoe with 1400 x 900 resolution through gameranger. I tried to make the exe run in gameranger but it says its the wrong one or something.

I have also sussed out a fix for this game by accident. I have posted the thread on the General Gaming Discussion board, under 'Games Fixed Accidentally :)'

Hi, when a game is being launched it gameranger, it says launching.. game launches. then when it is launched it does not go to the game room but it goes to the menu of age of empires as it would if you clicked it of the desktop if you get what i mean... is there a fix for this?

Well it seems your patched exe doesn't match any of the ones that I made the patch for... Try to get the right one (Myth, IIRC) is all I can suggest. You can mail me your exe (zipped) and I'll see if I can create a patch for that one, but I can't promise how long that will take... BB

Made a donation, fix is working very good on 1680x1050 and 1024x600 resolutions together with VEGMod in windowed mode (borderless), so Alt-Tab is fast and stable.

Also hope a .patch can be written for 1.1, thanks!

No original exe found.
