Hello!

Quick question....I have x3 27" Asus Monitors for Landscape Nvidia Surround. After I load my correct resolutions into the Skyrim pref.ini folder (5760x1080), the game loads fine and all is good in the world.

....Then after reading another post on a different thread, I saw that someone was running the game in 'Surround Portrait' mode and they didn't need a patch or fix--So I decided to try the game in Portrait mode. I entered the correct/recommended resolutions into my Skyrim pref.ini folder and launched the game. It simply 'trys' to load (black screen), but then kicks me back to the desktop? What the dilly?

.....Why would the game not like Portrait Mode, but loves Landscape Mode? I'm confused...

Unfortunately Nvidia Surround only supports landscape mode, not portrait.
You could try using SoftTH

^huh?

absolutely not.

you can put your monitors in P mode, set each as a P monitor in the setting, then enable surround mode.
it works, i did it for a full day like that, and one of the games i played WAS skyrim, which worked fine in fact.
and i didnt use softh or anything.

i actually liked it alot, but my monitors have the WORSE verticle viewing angles ever, so when you put them sideways it was terrible.

NV surround works on P mode, like Ugzz said, set the monitors to P mode before activating surround.

I did this for a while but the viewing angle on one of my monitors was poor and went back to landscape.

I liked the P-mode surround and have been thinking about upgrading my monitors to ones with better viewing angles so I can do it.

Hi. I'm having the same problem as MaxSharp - Skyrim will no longer run in portrait mode no matter what I change in the ini file.

Anyone have any idea?
