No, I haven't run into that problem. I just typed "fov 100" in the console and it's stuck since (the difference was quite obvious). I'm running the non-steam version however. Your best bet might be to edit your config file and make it read-only if it's giving the same problem for you.

Also the models stick too. If you're just using the demo, it's possible that's the problem. Part of the reason SiN didn't do better was that it was released LOADED with bugs. If you patch to version 1.11 you're likely to have better results.

Alright cool. If you want to write up a confirmed solutions thread with instructions for the hack and a couple screenshots (4:3 and 16:10) then that would be great.

SiN != SiN Episodes.

There's a Sin, an add-on Sin: Wages Of Sin. Sin Episode 1: Emergence came out 3 years ago.

I know how to play Sin in widescreen :twisted: .. Using for it dgVoodoo 1.50 Beta2 drivers and some 3dfxgl.dll (using 1.4.9.0).. Add these stuff into Sin folder and run dgVoodooSetup.exe there set your resolution in glide section. I playing in 1920x1200 becouse 26"LCD.. Ingame select 3dfx OpenGL in rendering.. After that it will automaticaly change to your custom resolution.. Just menu is little bit different after it but game runs fine. Anyway this works olso for Kingpin.. Is this help anybody?

Here is partial solution:
Just set 1600x1200 resolution and choose one of the attached files - 1920x1080 or 1680x1050
Obviously the FOV is not fixed and the game is Vert- so you migh be missing some of the view - however it is at least something...
(1680x1050 fix is untested but that 1920x1080 worked fine on my machine).

Even though I could use eyefinity resolutions like 5760x1080 or 6048x180 I can't provide those - it simply doesn't work - it's too zoomed in and weapon is be barely seen...

Most credit goes to badsector @ gog.com my modified exe is derivated work (reverse engineered) based on his patch.

Hi, does anyone know how to get it to run @ 1440 x 900. I have Sin Episodes but have the retail version of Sin that came out in 1998. I would like to play the first Sin before continuing on the the second one.

I know the link above only supports 1050P and 1080P but I would like to get it run at 1440x900 because that's the highest my screen supports.

Thanks!

Since "Widescreen Gaming Fan" very kindly asked me through PM if I could add his resolution I looked again into it and here we go...

It works the same way as the previous two - set resolution to 1600x1200 in game to get the desired resolution.

Please test it and report back.

Regards
Honza
