I think it is using different sized text for different sized resolutions and based on the height of the resolution used ... for some reason it doesn't like 1440x900.
I'll see if I have time to do some tests tomorrow ... maybe try to get mine to run at 1440x900 to see what I get.

OK ... I tried 1440x900 this morning and whilst my text is a tiny bit bigger than I think it is supposed to be I don't get any of those problems you have Beanmaster ... :?
Very strange ... I don't know what to suggest ... :(

Anyone else using 1440x900 ?

I figured out something very wired.
I have some translationbugs, if i search in dead bodys, (ex: it says "items, and descriptions)
.
But when i change to ANY other resolution, it gives me correct hud, and translated inventory..
Very strange

This morning, I decided to install the patch and start over, but I didn't know the FOV hack would be affected :(.

At least I kept my old saves in another folder, so I can reinstall and continue with WS if I want, but I think I'll wait and see if racer_s updates his fix.

The screen is way too cropped to play in WS without the fix, you can't even see the binoculars in your hand :(

Ok guys, I have some great news for you. Don Reba, moderator of the official S.T.A.L.K.E.R. forum said this today regarding widescreen support:

There was a discussion of widescreen support. The problem is understood, and should be fixed in the third patch.

The second patch is progressing fine, so I think the third won't take too long. Great news for us!!!

[EDIT] Link fixed, it should be the fourth post

Your link does not get me to the actual thread ... just the forum ...
Can you help us get to the thread by giving us a little more info about the thread ... for example ... the title and section of the forum where it can be found ...

Thank you ... :D
