When someone figures out what I need to set it for 1920x1200, let me know. :)

Well, the difference is that it supports widescreen, but cuts off the top and bottom, versus adding to the left and right.

What the heck? Are they worried about an unfair "advantage" in horizontal view? It's time for companies to get over that bs. They're going to punish widescreen users by reducing visible area? That's absurd.

A widescreen player gains a little on the horizontal, but loses a little vertical view. It's a trade off, and if the industry is going to push widescreen, everyone is going to have to live with it.

PUT IT IN EA. IT'S TIME. I'd like my expensive screen to work as designed thank you.

I was able to trick BF1942 and DC using the fov 1.1 option, but it did mess with your view out of the vehicles, for instance I'd get clipping on the tank cannon, and I could see the front wheel in the jets even in no-cockpit view. It was kind of nice seeing the wheel, you could tell how much rudder you were applying by how far the wheel turned. :)

It gives you a lot more to the sides, than it takes from the top and bottom.

I got kicked from a server today, for a modified game file. The 1.1 addition is all I did.

for everyone using 1680x1050 can you tell me exactly all youve done? ive added the +sxy 1680 and szy 1050 to the command line (just like the original poster but with 1680 and 1050 instead), but it DOESNT work. My screen goes black, then it goes back to desktop. Im thinking you have to edit the .con file too or something :|

You sure you didn't edit the .con files before hand? When i was trying to get widescreen working if i edited the .con files to the resolution it did what you said. So i set them back to default and then did the +sxy and +szy thing and it worked.

If it dosen't work you could always uninstall make sure no files are left over and reinstall.

I think we need to start a petition or something. This is ridiculous. Where do I send email to these jokers?

Seriously, these guys really have to start supporting widescreen!!! I suggest that everyone on these forums spends the extra 50 cents and gives DICE a complaint call!

If this works we should see the rez listed in the video options menu in the game correct.
