then search for [Editor.EditorEngine]

an a few lines under it you will find

FovAngleDegrees=your value... normal is 90
change it to the value that looks good for you.

in my case

FovAngleDegrees=100.000000

for the correct fov for your resolution search wsg
there is a thread out there

ps: fov 360 is fisheye optic (very funny to watch)

Very good ... ... any chance you could show us a screenshot at 360 ?

A thanks to Paradign S for guiding me here with my SWAT 4 post question....
I did read about the Unreal tweaks in another thread but my laziness takes the "5th"

One more.....somewhere in this forum is a list of all the widescreen resolution settings for 16:9. Guidance here would be well appreciated.

I think I may have answered my own question. This is computer based and only up to my 2405FPW Res (1920x1200). Any additions, corrections or comments on this would be appreciated. .

Computer Standard Resolutions

CGA 320×200 (16:10)
EGA 640×350 (approx. 5:3)
QVGA 320×240 (4:3)
VGA 640×480 (4:3)
SVGA 800×600 (4:3)
XGA 1024×768 (4:3)
XGA+ 1152×864 (4:3)
WXGA 1280×768 (15:9)
SXGA 1280×1024 (5:4)
SXGA+ 1400×1050 (4:3)
WSXGA 1600×1024 (approx. 15.6:10)
WSXGA+ 1680×1050 (16:10)
UXGA 1600×1200 (4:3)
WUXGA 1920×1200 (16:10)

You're welcome. :)

WXGA (1280x800) [16:10]
WXGA+ (1440x900) [16:10]
SXGA (True: 1280x960) [4:3]
QXGA (2048x1536) [4:3]

I know that means there are two WXGA resolutions, but I don't see how 1280x768 is really true WXGA... it's debatable, though... and this isn't the relevant thread. ;)

And another puzzle: why did a 5:4 ratio res become the 'standard' SXGA? :?

Visual geometry would be a good guess from what I have bumped into researching my Dell 2405. 4:3 in 1024x800 res, things may not appear true, more narrow. 5:3 elevates that in the standard monitor.

Ok guys, call me nuts. But for the life of me there is no .ini file in the System folder of Swat4. The only file is a .int file which has the exact .ini file settings. I have adjusted the settings for widescreen (1680x1050) and have even tried the fish eye view "FovAngleDegrees=360.000000 ", still after saving there is no change in the application. Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks up front.

I've got a fisheye (360 degree FOV) shot of Jedi Knight II lurking somewhere on a backup. Or I can take a new one. ;) That was vomit inducing if you turned...

Thanks P ...
I have seen 360 in quite a few games but changing the FOV in the ... [Editor.EditorEngine] ... as indicated in this so called "Solution" (above) doesn't change the FOV.
I would just like a before and after screen shot so that NoName20 can prove me wrong ... :?

In the screenshots section here ... http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/ ... the FOV hasn't changed ... the top and bottom of the screen has been chopped off ... the view width has not changed.

Also here by ... CaptainValor ... regarding the FOV he says he figured it out ... http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/5676 ... and again the FOV change doesn't work as he indicates.

Why do people do this ? ... ... They must see it isn't working and when others try it for themselves they will soon find out it don't work.

I guess I would just like people to prove there so called "Solutions" with a couple of screenshots ... before and after ... that way there is no doubt.
