Wow, impressive stuff, Barnie! Not only did you escape from Black Mesa, but you also managed to extend your appearances contract w/out Valve's knowledge.

Nice screens too, Doug. To be honest I hadn't heard of this game at all, but it looks fantastic. I thought at first that it was using the Source engine, but it looks like it may be remedy's own proprietary pixels. I visited the site, and liked this description from eurogamer:

Taking its cue from Stephen King novels and the kind of scary small town Americana that David Lynch explored so memorably in Twin Peaks, it's a free roaming action adventure that the makers of Max Payne are pitching as "truly next generation"

The game does looks superb Doug ... 8)
I can only find release dates for the Xbox 360 version and they range from 1/31/2006 at EB games (US) to ... 03/03/2006 at Play.com (UK) and June 12, 2006 at Amazon (UK) ... interestingly Amazon US doesn't seem to have the game listed yet ... :?

Here's a good looking game ... Project Offset

Check out their 1920x1080 HD Sneak Peek video in there downloads section ... it looks like it's going to be an amazing game ...

All their downloads download faster (for me) from here ... http://www.3dgamers.com/games/projectoffset/downloads/
and 3DGamers has a Crowd Test video ... which is pretty impressive too ... 8)

Alan Wake sure does look impressive. It was a hit at last year's E3. Project Offset looks absolutely amazing. Hopefully other developers decide to use the Offset Engine. I am also eagerly awaiting TES4: Oblivion.

Paddy,

The jan 2006 launch was proven to be wrong. :( as per the news on the official game site.

I wonder what GFX card minimum this one will need?
