I have NFS MW 1.2 on my laptop, running perfect on 1024x768 with all details etc. activated.

When I set the resolution (using resolution changer nfsmwres.exe) to 1440x900 the game still runs smooth but it feels like there there is some kind of delay in the steering.
I can hardly control the car in the game. When I steer it happends to late and when it happends it happends very sudden.

How is this possible, I lowered the details, switched AA & Texture Filtering off, set resolution to 1280x800 but this does not help.
It tried various setting in AtiTools (Adaptive AA, A.I, Geometry Instancing, over clock, standard clock) but this also doesn't help.

My specs are;
-17.0" WXGA (1440x900) TFT
-Pentium M 1.86GHz
-1 GB m(2x512MB, 533MHz)
-ATI Mobility Radeon X800XT, 256MB
-80GB 5400RPM SATA
-ATI Mobility Catalyst 6.1 drivers (with old control panel) & AtiTool & NotebookHardwareControl

Hello ... welcome to the WSGF .... :D 8)

I think the problem might be that with the new 16:10 ... 1440x900 resolution you do not have the correct field of view (FOV) ... and so the game will feel strange ... zoomed in ... to get the correct FOV download the Camera Hack ... second post ... here ... http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/5928

:D

Hi ... then may be you aren't using it correctly ...

Just in case ...

Start up the Cam Hack ... leave it open/running ...
Start up the game using the Res changer ...
Once the game is running and you are in a Race or Free Roam ...press the * key on your key pad then use the + or - keys also in the key pad to zoom in or out ... :D

Let me know how you get on ... 8)

Hey thanks, with the new speed.exe file it's working indeed.
I still have to get used to the new field of view but think that it's only a matter of time.

How can I save various 'preset' views?

I don't think you can ... :?

I have found it best to just not mess about with the view once I have what I want. That said ... by playing around with it helps to understand how it all works ... :D
