I just installed NFSMW Black Edition on my computer, then patched it to 1.3, then downloaded the res changer and unzipped it to the NFSMW directory. When I open it and input 1920x1200 resolution and v 1.3 it opens the game in the defauly resolution still. I am using the original CD, no crack or anything.

Specs of computer:
XPS M170
2.0ghz Pentium M
1GB RAM
7800GTX Go 256MB forceware 84.25 drivers
17" WUXGA LCD

Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

I'm not sure ... but you may need a no-cd ... get the one by "Reloaded" at ... http://spacetarget.com/games/gcw.shtml

Be carefull as sometimes some nocd's are bad files ... "Reloaded" ones are usually ok.

please release a version of this utility that allows it to work in win2003. in 2003, you have to choose compatibility mode for the game to even start and thus the game won't work with this program unless it enables it which it doesn't currently.

I've dowloaded the program artmoney and followed your steps. The only thing is i'm getting about 14500 address returns after I switch the in game res to 800x600 and complete the search. Is this normal? It's a hell of a lot to sort through. Also, what would be the quickest and simplest way to sort these out?

Should I be getting this many returns?

Hey guys ...
If it isn't working for you or if you have any questions for Racer_S it's probably best to ask him yourself over on his forums ... Click on his logo ...

He's a really busy guy so please be patient ... :D
He is primarily into racing games ... so he might not have POP3.

Cheers ... :)

Hey Paddy, and i'm glad I found you guys and gals. Getting these games to work with wide screen lcd's is a real bitch. Thanks for the info Paddy. Do you know if this program can do the same for NFS Carbon? Or if a version is in the works for this new game?

Thanks again, i tried spazticblur's suggestion along with the "cough" dvd crack and it works great now. I can run at my native resolution of 1440x900. By the way, if you go above what you lcd is rated at, say the next step in res, will this damage it?

Glad you got it working ... :D

Re the LCD resolution I don't think it will damage it ... I think it just won't work ...
Saying that ... I wouldn't bother trying ... just in case.
