Q4 of this year is also rumored to have huge price drops, $266 for a quad core.

Yeah, but if you wait until Q4, you'll be waiting for the next huge round of drops after that. :) There comes a time when you just have to say, "Enough is enough - I'm buying." ;)

Once again i am having second thoughts of downgrading a pc and getting a basic notebook or just getting a notebook that is fast likea e1750 but then i dont know if it is worth the performance loss

Desktop in a Shuttle case, that way if you have to move it, it's not that big a deal.

Shuttle cases are too limiting and i have better chances going for a laptop
