Very good. Did you find out how to get 1680x1050 working? So far I am playing on 8800GTS 320MB at 1280x800 on medium to high (mostly on high) settings with 4xAA and 4xAF at about 30-50fps everywhere.

Also i wonder what about those Gf8800 special antialising modes, what kind of impact do they have on the performance compared to AA?

i have the same question. how can i iuse 1680x1050 ?

D/L it from gamespot took maybe 4 or 5 mintues.

I only have DX9, This is all stock except i put HDR on high. I'll have to see if it looks better with max visual settings but at stock im not too impressed with it, and frame rates were playable but nothing fancy.

Here are some screens.

Maybe I didnt pick the best times to take a screen shot, the motion blur effect feels abit over done, both in the screen shots and from the performance demo. I'll have to go play the game and see if its that bad.

Stinging Velvet....your name Nico?

Nope.

I got an average of 35-40fps running the performance test, but the game feels like 60fps for some reason... I don't know the deal there. It runs exceedingly smooth, more than some less demanding games from even a year ago for me (like Rainbox Six Vegas).

I still can't choose 16:10 resolutions... people on other boards have said they could, but I cannot. I'm just playing it with thin bars on the top and bottom... still looks awesome.

And I have spent a good deal of time with the 360 version and trust me, this is a noticeable improvement.

I have issues with the controller since I tried to play the actual game.

I have a wired Xbox 360 controller. However I dont use the stock microsoft drivers I use XBCD.

Even tho I have a default controller profile, the right analog stick is not working in game to let me aim and stuff. All other buttons work fine.

I have no clue why its doing this as it works fine in other games and also is showing it works fine in the windows controller properties menu.

The game looks really good. I think i might go the the 360 version though, i just have a feeling it'll run better than my PC will run it.

Ah well, where in Pittsburgh then?

It uses motion blur so it can pull off the stunning graphics and still run smoothly-ish.

THis demo is pretty damn slick. I like the performance benchmark. It looks to really take advantage of new hardware. You can choose how many threads the game uses. I wonder if you have a quad-core if you can put threads up to 4 and how it effects performance.

The demo runs great on my system. I find that AA is the big performance killer. Speaking of AA, it gives you way more options than normally available in games. If I turn everything up to high w/ 4x AA, I average 22FPS in the snow run at 1920x1080. If I turn AA off, it is 49FPS at 1920x1080. That's over twice the performance.

Visually, it is obviously superior to the xbox360 version if only because of the higher resolution. I see that some people are already calling it a bad port, but i think it is quite the opposite. Capcom looks to be really trying to make a good PC game here. Now they just need to bring Dead Rising to the PC.

I also works perfectly with both the wired AND wireless xbox 360 controllers. Rumble even works with both.
