I've got 3 2043bwx's and when I put them into 5040x1050, I get the box that says "Not Optimum Resolution". I've searched the forum and found that others have had the same problem and have to press the "menu" key on the monitor to get out of it each time they startup or have a res switch. OK, I can live with that, I press the menu key and the box goes away.

However, my monitors are going a step further, and blacking out after 60 seconds of just-fine operation in 5040x1050. They go to a black screen, with the "not optimum" box, and sit there. I clear the box, press the "source" button on the monitor, it finds the signal and gives me my desktop back, I have to clear the "not optimum resolution" box again, and then I get 60 seconds of trouble free operation before the whole thing starts over. I've tried contacting Samsung, they are not helpful (don't really seem to understand what I'm talking about). Everything works fine in 3x1440 or 3x1280.

Any thoughts from the experts here?

The new beta of Powerdesk-SE fixed it. 5040 is up!
