other questions
2. Should I go SLI instead of DDR3?
3. Will there be SLI/DDR3 boards in the future?
4. Will a single GTX8800 be able to keep up with the high resultion in the newest but also in some older games (e.g. Operation Flashpoin FFUR SLX2 )?
5. Whats the best way, to set the monitors up? is there any soltution to connect them to each other so they cant move around?
6. Whats the best way to run Vista and XP on one computer?
7. Can you recommend a good and not too expensive USV?
8. Do you know a DVD player that can use the increased desktop without distortion?

If you are going to use your system only for games than PVA panels of these monitors there are ok.
If not just for games than 1990SXi (S-IPS) would be better choice. Of course, it’s only my personal opinion.

I'd definitely go SLI over the ddr3 ram. You'll see a lot higher frame rates with SLI rather than the higher bus speed of the ram. Grab a cheaper ~$200'ish motherboard, some 1066 ram for $150, drop the timings down a bit and you can probably clock it to somewhere in the 1200 range, for about $400 less.

Just 1 8800GTX will probably do just fine until you want to run Crysis. You could buy a SLI capable motherboard now, and purchase the extra GTX when you start seeing poor frame rates, although price doesn't seem to be an issue with the rig you're building.

Yes that is a good idea. Furthermore do not invest so much money in an "old" 2 Core CPU, get the Q6600 with 4 core, or a cheaper 2 core like 6750.

I think, I'll wait for the X38 chipsets and go with a single GTX for starters and when the performance isn't good enough in a year, i'll add a (hopefully released by then) 9800. Does SLI work with two non-identical GPUs, I think yes?

this all asuming that the X38 will support SLI.

Not that I heard of.

But Crossfire can.

Sli does somewhat work with different gpus, but if one is faster, it drops to match the slower.

Like example putting a 8800gtx in sli with an 8800gts, same as putting 2 gts in sli.

I thought TripleHead2Go didn't support SLI.

I can't think of why it wouldn't support SLI I know that when your using SLI you can only have one screen in usse but a TH2G will only look like one screen.
