Great work squ1zzy.

Keep us posted, as I'm sure we'll get screwed over and we wont have HOR+ for the final Retail game.

Can't wait for this utility either, I'm not buying retail if I can't get widescreen to work, I'll just get Crysis as planned and skip UT3 entirely.

I pledge $10 for this one, have we got any other takers?

Come one lads, lets get some cash together for the boys. I know they will say it's not necessary but who cares what they say.

Besides, if we pay em, and they don't come up with the goods, we can take em to court for not fixing it, thereby forcing them to come up with a fix for our game.

Ok Dope and Racer_S, you got 24 hours to fix this or I'll see you in court.

I'll sue you for loss of...potential recreation enjoyment.

"Your honour, as a direct result of the two defendants not designing a fix for UT3, I strained my eye. In addition, but notwithstanding the irrelevant fact that they did not originally design or develope the game or were not contracted to develope a fix, they immensly negelected thier duty of care, and hence people have suffered. I also submit that they willingly extorted AU$10 from me your honour, extortion and purposeful neglegence of thier duty to WSGF memebers. I lost $10 and I strained my eye your Honour, $12 million!"

Its a win win really, I spend $10 and maybe get a fix for my UT3, or I get $12million less legal costs.

Anyone else want to contribute, its a sure winner. :D

i was having the same problem as them... the values keep changing every time you load a new map and they are stored in a different location and i just cant get a pointer to work there

all hope is not lost however... nov 19 the game will be out and we will know for sure if we need to create the hack or not... the game does have a prebuilt fov option that goes in the menu... its disabled but you can enable it to show up... however it doesnt change anything

why not just freeze the value at 100?... the sniper is a problem though since it uses fov of ~39 i think it was... im not very good with programming but i was thinking in general terms if fov = 39, set fov 39, else set fov 100....

Hey dopefish, how is this going?

I am stinging to see something for this.

If no progress, how about this for a temporay fix.

If the FOV defaults whenever a player spawns, then we could find a way to make a bind, or a commend in the ini at three possible points:

1 Spawn = FOV 100 (or some other variable)
2 Primary Fire = FOV 100
3 Move Forward = FOV 100

They syntax is not correct of course, I am just exampingaling. So, seeings the command in Console is FOV 100, then there must be a way to bind this to other comments. If there is a spawn command, then perhaps that would the optimal. Otherwise, you have to press fire to respawn, so that might work. Lastly, and a guarantee is press forward ie, most people use :W: or Arrow Up or something, and include the FOV 100 command to that.

I know, it is not optimal, but it would be better than having to type it in each time in console.

you can add it in binded to a key by editing the .ini's externally, just make em read-only so it keeps the changes.
